Authorship

Authors are expected to familiarize themselves with the editorial and journal policies set forth below.

Each author must have contributed significantly to the submitted manuscript to: 1) the conception or design of the study; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; AND 2) drafting of the manuscript or revising it for important content; AND 3) final approval of the version submitted for publication.

The corresponding author is responsible for all communication between the authors and the journal and for ensuring that all authors agreed:
- to be authors and to be listed in the order specified by the submitting author;
- to read and approve the manuscript submission to the journal;
- to declare any conflicts of interest and funding.

At submission, the corresponding author also must clearly identify that no part of the manuscript is under consideration, in press, published (with the exception of abstracts), or reported elsewhere.

If the first two authors wish a shared or equivalent authorship, this is assigned at their names and followed by the text: These authors contributed equally to this manuscript.

If an author is removed from or added to the listed authors after submission, an explanation and a signed statement of agreement confirming the requested change are required from all the initially listed authors and from the author to be removed or added. Authors can not be added after acceptance of the manuscript or on proofs.

After acceptance, the corresponding author is responsible for the accuracy of all content in the proof, including the names of coauthors, addresses and affiliations.

After publication, the corresponding author is the point of contact for queries about the published paper.
